What we’re about.

Bassline Magazine is a music culture online magazine focusing on electronic music such as drum ‘n bass, house, breaks, techno, trance/progressive, broken beat, experimental and electro as well as underground hip-hop. This magazine is for you, the people of the scene, whether you’re a DJ, producer,
party-goer, promoter, MC, graffiti artist, or someone who just appreciates and loves the music.

Bassline Magazine is here to keep us all connected. Our focus is on the Midwest and East Coast with major concentration in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Washington D.C. There are many artists in these areas that are looking to get their name known, and we hope to be a media outlet for them.

Times are changing, as they have been and will continue to do so. You can see this change with a simple illustration of technology’s progression, where the ‘mixtape’ now seems old-skool and MP3s are the norm. Our mission is to try to reach everyone and shed light on how people are keeping the underground alive in these changing times. By focusing on club events, parties, shows, vinyl/CD releases, art, graffiti, clothing labels, profiling DJs/producers, spotlighting up-and-coming heads as well as covering issues affecting hip-hop and electronic music’s culture, Bassline strives to reflect our scene. We must embrace our culture with the knowledge and understanding so that our scene continues for the next generations. Music is the universal language that connects us all. Everyone listen for the bassline.
